Blog Assignment #6: Travel Vocab Review
This blog assignment is a little different. When you write, you need to use vocabulary from class in your story. If you don’t use the vocabulary, you won’t get points for this homework. Here is what to do:
1) Choose any travel theme for your blog entry; i.e. a travel story which happened to you, travel advice for your friends, your plans for a future trip, etc.
2) In your entry, use at least 5 of the following travel vocabulary words: immigration, customs, metal detector, security check, travel insurance, symptoms, prescription, pharmacy, taxi meter, fare, overcharge, rip off, bargain, discount, jet lag, direct flight, connecting flight, layover, budget, peak season, waiting list, itinerary
3) Write at least 200 words for your entry
4) Comment on the blogs of at least 2 classmates for the previous week’s entry
5) This blog is due by the end of next week (5/20)

Since we don’t have class on Thursday (5/5), I will give you the blog assignment for next week. By the end of week 5 (5/13), please do the following:

1) Today in class, we discussed Shosei Koda and his killing in Iraq. Please make a blog entry summarizing your opinions on this matter. For example, what do you think about his decision to go there? Do you think the Japanese government should have done more to help him?
2) As usual, write at least 200 words on the topic.
3) Please title your blog entry “Opinions on Koda”
4) As usual, comment on TWO of your classmates’ blogs. (This should be from week 4’s blog entries.)
